What we believe...
The Bible is verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit in the canonical scriptures as originally given and is the inerrant, infallible and authoritative Word of God and its teaching is sufficient, absolute, supreme and final.
God eternally exists in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are one God having the same nature, attributes and perfection.
The Father is a Spirit, infinite, eternal and unchangeable.
The Son, Jesus Christ, was begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and is truly God and truly man. He lived a sinless life on earth, became the sinner's substitute before God and died on the cross as a propitiatory sacrifice for the sin of the whole world. His crucified body was raised from the dead according to the scriptures and He ascended into Heaven and sits on the right hand of God as the believer's High Priest and Advocate. He will return prior to the tribulation period to meet the Church in the air, and later descend bodily to the earth to rule the nations for a millenium.
The Holy Spirit is a Divine Person equal with the Father and the Son, the source and power of all acceptable worship and service, the infallible interpreter of the Word, who indwells every born again believer.
God created man in His own image after His likeness, but the whole human race fell in the fall of the first Adam, and all men are fallen, sinful and lost, and the total depravity of all men makes necessary the new birth.
An individual who repents of sin before God and has faith in the shed blood and substitutionary death of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, is saved by Grace. The moment we trust in Him as our Saviour we pass out of death into everlasting life, and are indwelt by Him. We are born again, receiving a new nature by the power of the Holy Spirit. There is no other way of salvation acceptable to God - no good works, no submission to any set of rules, regulations or faith.
There will be a resurrection of the dead and God's judgements of all men, resulting in everlasting punishment for those who have not trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation.
The Church is the Body and Bride of Jesus Christ and is composed of all those who believe on Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
Satan, also called the Devil, is a real personality. He was created by God as an angel, a spiritual being, but he led other angels, now called demons, in a revolt against God. He is active in the world deceiving men.
There are only two ordinances of the Lord Jesus Christ, namely Baptism and the Lord's Supper, which are of perpetual obligation until Jesus comes again.
Baptism is the immersion of believers upon profession of their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a symbol of the fellowship of the regenerate in His death, burial and resurrection.
The Lord's Supper is a memorial until He comes of the sacrifice of the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The supreme mission of the people of God in this age is to preach the Gospel to every creature, make disciples, baptising and teaching the Word of God.
